Human male, born 11 Fir'mo', LY 881, in First Village. Psychotherapist and co-founder of the Royal Asylum.

In 904, when the surname law was passed, William chose the name "Stream-of-Consciousness", a concept which he had always found to be of great use in therapy sessions with his patients, as well as in understanding the sentient mind, in general.

William is known as a truly caring and ethical doctor, with the utmost concern for the mental well-being of his patients. He has a high success ratio for curing psychological ailments, when a cure is possible, through therapy and sometimes the use of drugs. In 912, he was one of the co-founders of The Land's first asylum, with Tobias Blue. In 913, he was appointed as one of the initial members of the newly established Health Department.

In 916, it would be discovered that Tobias Blue himself was insane, and he was committed to the asylum under William's care. This came in the wake of an incident in which William discovered that Darius Lonewander was being unjustly held in the asylum by Tobias and his associates.
