Frinn is the sixth village founded on The Land, in LY 363. It is situated on the northwest coast of Name Isle, at roughly 4° south latitude and 86° west longitude. Its population as of the 905 census was 7,308 humans.
Frinn was the second village to be founded during the period of rapid expansion following the founding of Ship, which lasted between 361 and 380. The village is one of the Land's leading producers of coffee and tea. It is also known as the birthplace of the Frinn horn in LY 800, and the birthplace of the Land's version of Caribbean music, in 365.
People who live in Frinn are referred to as "Frinnmen" or "Frinnwomen." Any group consisting of both men and women may be called "Frinnmen," though the adjective "Frinnish" is preferred. "Frinnish" may also apply to anything of or from Frinn.
