Cinnamomum is an evergreen tree, the inner bark of which is referred to as cinnamon. Cinnamomum trees have been known since the earliest days of The Land, and occur naturally in many of the forests of First Land as well as southern Near Land, and both Name Isle and South Isle.
Cinnamon is used as a spice for baking or sweetening (often combined with sugar), as well as in the making of chocolate and graham crackers. It may be used in the makng of mead or in mulling wines, as well as an ingredient in chai. It can be combined with peppers to make "dragon punch," a type of soft drink. It is also commonly used for purposes of oral hygiene.
