Artemisia is an herbaceous, perennial plant. There are known to be a number of varieties of artemisia on Earth, though on The Land only one variety has thus far been discovered; it is known to be the same as one of Earth's varieties, also called "grande wormwood". On both worlds, the flowers and leaves of this plant are used as an ingredient in the production of a liquor called absinthe. It can also be used in making mead. Apothecaries may also use it as an ingredient in certain medicines.
